2021 IVECCS Call for Presenters

Accepting Presentation Submissions for IVECCS 2021

The IVECCS Program Committee is seeking proposals for presentation topics and ideas for our IVECC Symposium, September 11-15, 2021. Unless COVID-19 related restrictions remain in place, we anticipate we will be able to hold an in-person meeting in Nashville, TN.  Potential presenters are invited to submit their proposed topics and course descriptions for lecture, workshop and lab sessions. The topics will be considered for both in person and virtual platform.

The theme for IVECCS 2021 is “Pharmacology”.  The program will continue to cover a wide variety of topics with a wide variety of levels to satisfy the needs of veterinary and technician specialists, advanced clinicians and technicians, general practitioners and support staff dedicated to, or having a special interest in, Emergency and Critical Care, Anesthesia and Analgesia, and Hematology and Transfusion Medicine. The program also includes non-clinical topics such as Professional Wellness, Ethics, Management and Leadership.

Proposal deadline: October 15, 2020
Final review of proposals for IVECCS 2021: October 31, 2020
Invitations to present at IVECCS 2021 sent to speakers: January 2021

If your topics are not selected for IVECCS 2021, you will not receive an acceptance confirmation. However, your topics will remain in the speaker database, and the information can be updated during future calls for proposals for consideration for future meetings. Preference will be given to active VECCS members, and all ACVECC speakers must be VECCS members to be considered. Compensation is based on number of hours presenting.

VECCS Purpose:  To promote the advancement of knowledge and high standards of practice in veterinary emergency medicine and critical patient care. Toward this purpose, the VECCS provides a forum where individuals can come together with the intention of establishing and promoting uniform standards and guidelines, foster and encourage education, research and scientific progress in veterinary emergency and critical patient care, and disseminate information pertinent to veterinary emergency and critical care to all interested groups and organizations.

IVECCS is the place where this purpose is carried out. In conjunction with IVECCS, the ACVAA holds its annual education meeting, and the IVAPM and AVHTM coordinate topics pertinent to their membership.
